Christmas Breaks in Scotland

What better way to enjoy Christmas breaks in Scotland than in a traditional Country House Hotel in Perthshire. We offer 2 and 3 night Christmas Breaks in Scotland.  The itinerary for 2010 includes the following:

Friday 24th December 2010 - Christmas Eve
Start your Christmas Break from 3pm, check in and choose from the Afternoon Tea buffet by the fireside, in the Drawing room or inner hall. Pre-dinner cocktails will be served in the hall by the tree before a special Christmas Eve dinner.  

There is a watch-night service at nearby Kinclaven Church, Perthshire (transport provided). Mulled wine and mince pies will be served on return from the church.

Christmas Day
Awake to a Christmas morning breakfast. Relax and enjoy the day, a drive out into Perthshire and central Scotland, walking, playing board games, etc…

Christmas Day Afternoon Tea and sandwiches will again be available from 3.30pm. We serve the same Christmas menu for lunch and dinner, so recommend that residents take the Dinner option as lunchtime is very busy with non-residents. There will be hats, crackers and turkey with all the trimmings, preceded by a glass of welcoming champagne or aperitif of choice and canapes.

N.B.:  A table will be reserved for dinner unless you specify otherwise at time of booking.

Boxing Day
Breakfast from 7.30 - 9.30am
Spend the day after Christmas at leisure.  Please let us know if you require a table for lunch as the dining room can be very busy with non-residents.  Why not enjoy a visit to the House of Bruar or the Pantomime (Aladdin) at Perth Theatre (matinee/evening performances available).  Tickets available online at www.horsecross.co.uk or from the Box Office 01738 621031.

Afternoon Tea will be served from 3pm - 5pm. Another delightful Dinner menu selection from Chef Andrew Wilkie and his team will be served from 7pm-9pm.
