Over the recent years, Ballathie has enjoyed winning many
awards, under the careful guidance of Andrew Seal, Ballathie's

The 13th annual Scottish Hotel Awards was a good night for
Ballathie. Winning Country Sporting Hotel of the Year was an
honour and a delight. The award gave recognition that Ballathie
knows how to look after guests who travel to enjoy Countryside
sports, and does so with extremely high standards and understanding
of the needs particular to each sport.
Not content with one fabulous award, Head Chef Scott Scorer was
awarded a Peoples award from the Scottish Hotel Awards on the same
evening - Executive Hotel Chef of the Year. Recognition of
his wealth of knowledge and commitment to his role as Head Chef.
With a passion for fresh local produce, his food really
is a feast for the eyes and a treat for the tastebuds. Our guests
return again and again to Ballathie and are always extremely

Perthshire Chamber of Commerce recently shortlisted Ballathie
House Hotel in two categories of the 2014 Business Star Awards.
We are delighted to be recognised as a finalist in the
Excellence in Tourism and Leisure category and also as a finalist

Ballathie has just been awarded one of the Scottish Hospitality
Industry's most coveted accolades - Independent Hotel of the Year
2014 at the Catering in Scotland (CIS) Excellence Awards.
The CIS Excellence Awards has become established as one of the
most important and well respected award programmes in Scotland
recognising and rewarding true excellence. Judged by some of
the most prominenet chief executives, chairmen, hoteliers and chefs
in the industry, those nominated are up against the stiffest of

qualities they looked for a hotel which demonstrated without doubt

Awards in the village of Churchill near Oxford in the heart of the

More than 180 makers entered 910 different cheeses in the Awards
which this year celebrated their 20th anniversary and launched
British Cheese Week.
The award, based on reports from cheesemakers, cheese lovers and
diners, is the most prestigious award set up to acknowledge and
reward those in the hospitality industry with the best quality,
selection and inspiring British cheeseboard.
It was the second year in succession that Jody had carried off
the top cheeseboard award which he won last year at the Summer
Isles Hotel at at Achiltibuie in Ross-shire.
