Wedding Reception Venues in Scotland

Families large and small can enjoy time together at Ballathie to celebrate your special wedding day in Scotland. Your guests can sip Champagne, sparkling wine or a choice of drinks in our grand Reception hall and Drawing room with tranquil views over the River Tay. These rooms and our extensive grounds provide a charming backdrop for photographs at any time of year.

If the weather is suitable your guests will be greeted in the garden by our waiting staff with silver trays of your reception drinks. In winter our log fires create a cosy ambience to welcome your guests to the house where the reception drink will be served on arrival.

Parties of 70 to 90 can enjoy exclusive use of the hotel and we can also arrange for a fully-serviced and floored marquee venue on our lawn for larger groups of between 100 and 200 guests.

You design your own wedding reception breakfast with suggestions from our Head Chef and a list of champagne and wines to match. We can also help with flowers, favours, table plans and place cards to make your day as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Marquee
We can accommodate parties of up to 200 by having a marquee attached to the main hotel building. Our expansive grounds are ideal for any type of marquee.Please enquire for further details and approximate charges.

Menus and Wines
Choose a set menu from our suggested list or discuss your particular requirements with us.

Vegetarian options and other dietary requirements can all be catered for with due notice. We cannot provide tastings of these menus as they are made specifically for larger numbers however you can try our style of food from our daily menus at the normal published prices.

Wines are available from our extensive list or we can obtain your own favourite for you.

Please note that we cannot receive, handle or serve any of your own items of food or wines except for Wedding Cake and Favours. All items of food and drink must be supplied by the hotel for consumption on the premises.

Table Flowers

We are pleased to supply table flowers in keeping with the décor of the room. Should you wish to take any flowers away with you or require further arrangements then an additional charge will be made or you may supply your own arrangements if you prefer.

Table Plan

Our wedding venue's rooms are best suited to round tables of up to 8 guests and a top table, depending on your numbers.

We are pleased to assist with making up a table plan and place cards and this service incurs an administration charge of £50.00.
