Terms & Conditions

1. Provisional reservations will be held for a maximum of 14 days (unless otherwise agreed) and do not offer any guarantee of availability.

Reservations can only be confirmed upon payment of a deposit of £1,500.00 and a signed copy of these terms and conditions, which has been acknowledged by a letter from the hotel. By signing these terms and conditions you are agreeing that this is a legally binding document.

2. Final details with anticipated numbers are required by 60 days before the date of the event.

3. A pro-forma invoice of the estimated account will be forwarded to you 30 days before the date and full payment of this must reach the hotel by 14 days prior to the event. The final number charged will be the number confirmed at 3 days prior to the event or the number actually served or the minimum of 70 adults whichever is the greatest.

4. The hotel requires a minimum total consideration of £6,900.00 inc VAT in respect of the availability of all bedrooms and dining facilities. The organiser agrees to be responsible for any short fall in collecting this amount from their invited guests.

5. The organiser is liable for the actions of their guests and for any damage caused to the building, fixtures & fittings or grounds.

6. Prices are subject to change due to any alterations in the rate of VAT or other government levy imposed on the hotel.  Menus and drinks are also subject to alteration and change, pricing and content can only be guaranteed 3 months before your confirmed event.

7. The hotel shall not be liable for any failure or delay in perfoming any of its obligations under this agreement or liable to an atendee or guest for any loss or damage to property if the failure or delay was due to any cause beyond its reasonable control, including (without limitation) terrorist activity or serious potential for terrorist activity whether within the proximity of the hotel or in the UK or worldwide and directly or indirectly affecting the UK, misconduct or negligence of the attendee, guest or external third party, war or threat of war, civil or political action or disturbance, riot, natural disaster, fire epidemic, bad weather, terrorist activity (threatened or actual), military activity, governmental or regulatory action, industrial dispute, act of God, failure of power or machinery, failure of or interruption in externally provided services and utilities, and all similar events outside the hotels control.

8. The hotel shall not accept responsibility for any gifts, cards etc which may be left after the wedding reception.  Any left over items such as wedding cake, cards etc must be uplifted on the morning after the wedding.

9. All packages are flexible and interchangeable however price alterations may occur.

10. For civil and religious ceremonies Bridal parties are responsible for the booking of the Registrar/Minister and all legal requirements.

In the event of cancellation for any reason the hotel will charge as follows:

Up to 90 days prior to event - £500.00 of deposit.
Between 89 days and 43 days prior - 50% of estimated cost.
Between 42 days and the day of event - 100% of estimated cost.

The estimated cost will be calculated using the numbers anticipated at the time of booking and will include the cost of bedrooms and loss of bar & wine revenue. We strongly recommend that you take out insurance against the eventuality.
