Booking - Terms & Conditions

Deposits/Cancellation:

On advance purchase rates a credit or debit card is required to charge full prepayment at the time of booking.  This is non-refundable and non-transferable.
For all other reservations, 25% of the total booking cost is required to confirm the initial reservation.  All deposits are non-refundable.  There will be no further cancellation charge if the booking is cancelled before 09.00 GMT 2 days before your date of arrival.  If the booking is cancelled later, or in the case of a no-show, the first night's accommodation will be charged in addition to the non-refundable deposit.
We would advise guests to take out Travel Insurance against cancellations.

 

Early Departure

Should you opt to curtail your reservation and depart earlier than the original confirmed departure date, we reserve the right to charge an early departure fee which will equate to one night's accommodation.

 

Children:

Supper menu available at 6.00pm by prior arrangement, this menu is not available after 7.00pm.  Children's portions of Dinner menu available at 2/3 published price.  No high chairs or young children allowed in the Dining room at Dinner

 

Dogs:

A charge of £20.00 per dog, per stay will apply.  We request that you advise us in advance if bringing a dog.  Dogs are not allowed in Public Areas or Master Rooms and must be kept under control at all times, please do not leave them unattended in the room.  We reserve the right to charge for special cleaning and compensation for loss or damage in the rooms.

 

Check-in:

Is normally after 2.00pm.  If earlier check-in is required, please enquire in advance.

 

Late Arrivals:

Please inform us if you are likely to be after 9.00pm.  Late suppers must be arranged in advance

 

Check-out:

Rooms should be vacated by 11.00am on the day of departure.  A charge will be levied for late check-outs.

 

Restaurant Opening Times:

Breakfast   7.30am   -   9.30am
Lunch   12.30pm   -   2.00pm
Dinner   7.00pm   -   9.00pm

 

Dress for Dinner:

Whilst many gentleman choose to wear a jacket and tie in the restaurant in the evening, this is not obligatory and merely a guideline.  Shorts are not permitted in the restaurant in the evening.

 

Smoking:

All our rooms are non-smoking.  Please note that smoking in the hotel is forbidden by law in Scotland.

 

Payment

Accounts are payable upon departure.  Cheques are accepted with a current U.K. bank card.  All major credit and debit cards accepted with the exception of American Express, which unfortunately we can no longer accept.

 

Privacy

Here at Ballathie House Hotel Company Limited, we take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to administer your booking and to provide the services you have requested from us.  We will not release your information to third parties unless (1) we have your express permission to do so, (2) it is necessary to do so in order perform a service which you have requested, (3) we are required to do so by law.  . 

From time to time, we would like to contact you with details of special offers.  If you consent to us contacting you for this purpose, you can sign up to receive our newsletter  or complete the relevant section on your registration card when you check-in at the hotel.
